OOTD 19/01/2013 - Birthday Suit ☺

Hello! ☺
Last night I went out for my birthday, this is what I wore!

Dress: Trollied Dolly
Heels: Bertie
I bought the dress in a little shop in Edinburgh whilst I was there for New Years Eve and actually love it. Where do you go to buy dresses online?
I decided to wear heels for once but took sensible shoes with me so I didn't break my ankles/face plant in the snow/ice.

I had to counteract the vaguely ladylike look by pulling a standard derp face! ☺

I went for leopard print nails...

I treated myself to a new bag from Zatchels - it's red and has Hello Kitty on, what more is there to like!

My Mum gave me this as a present - it was very nice indeed! ☺

I thought I'd end with a token snow shot... This was at work earlier on last week. I thought it looked really pretty but getting a bit fed up with it already as it's ruined a few of my plans for this weekend!
Have you had much snow? Do you love it or hate it?

Are you on Instagram? I'm pinklittlebean on there too!

The Bullring Selfridges Bloggers Event December 2012

Back in December I went along to the Selfridges SS13 Presentation at the Bullring in Birmingham.
We were given a glimpse into upcoming trends this Spring & Summer, including Shine & Sheer, Tangerine and Silhouette.
We were given a quick tour around some of the concessions in the Selfridges store. These Jimmy Choo shoes and accessories looked perfect for Xmas parties!
I was instantly drawn to these! I loved the bright colours and cool characters on them!
Cute pandas...
I loved the detailing on the inside! ♥
We were shown a new range of handbags by Stella McCartney. The bags had lots of detailing to them.
A closer up look...
The bags were designed to be multi functional and can be worn in three ways including as a shopper...
A shoulder bag...
Or as a clutch!
I loved the bright colour of this Givenchy bag! It matches my headphones ☺
More brightly coloured clutches by Yves Saint Laurent.
Amazingly bright neon bags by Alexander Wang.
I actually fell in love with these teeny satchels by Mulberry - how cute! ♥♥♥
I thought the Alexander McQueen display here was pretty special.
The mannequins looked ace with their mohawks.
I couldn't help but take a photo of this Paul Smith display in Selfridges. I collect vintage suitcases so instantly fell for these!
The black and white version of "that dress"!
A ombre/dip dye version of the Herve Leger bandage dress. Why not have a look at more dresses online ☺
We had a quick bite to eat in Itihaas in the Selfridges food hall. It was absolutely delicious!
I tried some vegetarian dosa and paneer curry and loved it!
We were then treated to a wardrobing experience with NARS in the beauty hall.
I haven't really tried any products by NARS so it was a fun way of finding out about them and trying their make up. I will definitely be purchasing some soon!
I had total blush envy over this palette! ♥
I had a lovely time at the event. It was great to catch up with old & new faces!
Thank you to Emma & Rachael for a fab evening once again! ☺

Chanel Peridot 531 Nail Polish Swatches

Last year when I visited my friends I borrowed one of her nail polishes for our night out and had to share...
How gorgeous is this colour?!
I took this photo in daylight but couldn't quite get the full effect of it. It just looks incredible when it catches the light and it applied like a dream.
I had total nail polish envy!!
What's your favourite nail polish to use?

Geeta's Spice Route

I moved back into my parents home just over a year ago and have somewhat regressed with my culinary skills...

I featured one of Jamie Oliver's recipes from his 20 minute meals app (Paneer, Potato and Pea Curry which you can read about here!) and I enjoyed creating it but found that one of the main expenses was purchasing all of the different spices required to make the curry.
I'd like to start cooking for myself again, starting pretty basic and came across Geeta's Spice Route.

Full of a mixture of expertly selected Indian herbs and spices, Geeta’s new Spice Route range is sure to add some much-needed flavour into your kitchen whilst making it simple to prepare delicious, authentic Indian food at home.

Choose from a selection of six tasty combinations including Dhansak, Tandoori, Rogan Josh, Keralan, Tikka and Kebab and combine with vegetables, meat or fish of your choice to make a tasty regional Indian meal – perfect to warm you up on these colder winter evenings.

I'm looking forward to trying the Tandoori mix with paneer cheese!

The versatile range is priced at £1.39 for a 30g pack, enough for four servings. Each spice mix is from a particular region of India and champions the spices and herbs typical of that area.

This is proving the belief of Geeta’s that Indian cooking methods are simply a balance of a few good quality ingredients and the spice route range aims to inspire you to be adventurous in the kitchen and try new recipes.

Using recipes handed down through the generations of Geeta Samtani’s family as well as Geeta’s personal research and travels across India, the Spice Route range truly celebrates India’s vast culinary regions including Gujarat, Kerala, Punjab and Kashmir.

The Geeta’s Spice Route range is available from Asda (Dhansak, Keralan, Tikka, Tandoori and Rogan Josh), and from various independent retailers priced at £1.39.
